Dr. Volker Wannack
Dr. Volker Wannack is a PhD economist specialized in energy, regulation, and investment economics. He also holds a degree in industrial engineering with a focus on energy supply and has a strong affinity for IT.
He has served as a post-doctoral research associate in energy economics at Jacobs University, specifically within the Bremer Energy Research group. Following that, he worked as a subject area expert and project manager for asset management, network distribution, and network services (electricity, gas, water, district heating) at an energy supply company. Currently, he is the Head and Coordinator for blockchain applications, particularly in the energy sector, at the Blockchain Competence Center (BCCM) of Mittweida University. He is also involved in the global blockchain ecosystem called the Blockchain Showcase Region Mittweida (BSRM).
Within the university, he leads various initiatives, including the European project called Blockchain-Based Green Hydrogen (H2) Market (BBH2).
